App: Nyota Fund Kenya — Budget planning for Kenya. Last updated:
Nyota Fund Kenya ("the App") helps users in Kenya plan budgets and manage personal finances. We prioritise your privacy — this policy explains how the App handles data.
Short answer: The App does not send your personal data to our servers or to third parties. All data remains on your device unless you explicitly choose to share or export it.
All information you enter (budgets, transactions, notes, categories, settings) is stored locally on your device using the device's private storage. Important details:
If you use export or share features (for example, exporting a CSV or sharing a report), the App will ask for permission and you will choose the destination. Any sharing or export action is initiated by you and is under your control.
The App may request permissions for optional features. For example:
Permissions are requested at the time the feature is used. Denying permission disables only the related feature and does not affect core budgeting functions.
By default, Nyota Fund Kenya does not include analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking. If we introduce optional integrations (for instance, a cloud backup provider), the App will clearly describe what data is shared and ask for your consent before any transmission occurs.
We implement reasonable practices to protect data stored on your device. Because data is local, your device's security (PIN, password, biometrics, device encryption) is essential. Keep your device software up-to-date and protect it from unauthorized access.
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the App to provide personal data, contact us for guidance.
